The Very Rev. Keith J. Roberson has been at Ascension and St. Mark’s Church since
February, 2013. Fr. Keith completed his Master of Divinity at Nashotah House in 2000.
He also holds an MBA from SMU and a BS from Stephen F Austin. Fr. Keith puts the
MBA to good use in his lay career as the president of J.R. Optical, Inc., which serves the
vision industry in Texas.

Fr. Keith has served four churches in the past twelve years:

• St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Arlington;
• St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church, Mansfield;
• St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Irving and
• St. Justin’s Episcopal Church, Canton.
  

While in Irving, Fr. Roberson served as the Dean of the Deanery. At the Diocesan level,
he has served on the Committees for Retreats, Mission Strategy, Architecture and Arts, as
well as the Nominating Committee, the Commission on Ministry and the Executive
Council.

Focusing on building the church through promoting membership, stewardship and
Christian education programs for both children and adults by providing solid traditional
liturgy and developing lectionary-based curriculum has led to growth in each of those
churches. Fr. Keith mentors and supports lay-led ministries, and is involved in
community outreach. He fosters Christian worship that is God-focused, stimulating and
empowering. Attracting families through building programs that reach the needs of the
community is central to his ministry. Involvement in civic organizations has led to strong
alliances with business and community organizations as well as his home church family.
